✏️ Introduction
Talent Search offers a centralised space for reviewing and managing candidate profiles, enabling you to identify suitable individuals quickly and efficiently.
Whether you are refining your search using filters, managing candidate tags, or saving searches for future reference, this guide will provide clear instructions to help you navigate each feature with ease.
Use this resource to ensure you're making full use of the tools available to streamline your recruitment process and engage proactively with potential talent.
📊 Filters
Once on this page, there are multiple actions that you can carry out here:
Down the left-hand side of the page, there are a number of filters that you can use to help you refine the candidate view on the right-hand side of the page.
➡️ Tags
Tags can be used to flag candidates' that hold specific qualifications and experience. You can use the tag filter to show only those candidates in your search results.
If you select the tag filter you will be presented with a pop-up of the available tags.
- Select the check-box next to the relevant tag/s
- Select done once complete & the candidates' listed will reflect your chosen tags.

➡️ Filter By Question
If you would like to filter candidates by those that have responded to a specific questionnaire, you can choose this filter.
- Select the drop-down filters and choose the relevant questionnaire & question.
- Select or type in your desired answer to the question if applicable.
- Select “Apply Filters” once complete to see the list of candidates'.
➡️ Job & Application Details
This filter allows you to pick out specific Job Categories. You can also search using a specific job reference and choose from different application status. Perhaps you would like to do some research on candidates' that have registered but not yet applied for a job.
➡️ Salary Range
Use the salary range filter to refine candidates' looking for a specific salary.
➡️ Distance From Job
Use this filter to select candidates based on the country a candidate may like to work in or whether they are prepared to travel/relocate.
➡️ Registered
If you would like to see candidates' that have registered within a certain time frame, select the dates that apply.
➡️ Experience & Job Level
If you would like to filter candidates' based on the experience and job level they have added to their profile, select the relevant options here.
➡️ Status & Availability
If you would like to filter candidates' based on the status and availability they have added to their profile, select the relevant options here.
➡️ Industry Sector
If you are looking for candidates with specific industry experience, select the relevant options available from this filter.
➡️ Type Of Candidate
Think about whether the type of candidate is important to you, perhaps you only want to review external candidates'.
➡️ Candidate Opt-Ins
Use this filter if you only want to make contact with candidates' that have opted-in to hear about future opportunities.
🔎Simple And Advanced Search
There are multiple ways to search for candidates, including simple and advanced.
➡️ Simple
Enter in a specific job title, qualification or even a candidate name.
➡️ Advanced
Add specific search criteria to refine your results.

🖱️ Functionality
Just above the candidate list, there are several buttons that you can select to carry out different actions.
- Sort by
Allows you to sort by relevance or last login. - Select
Allows you to select one, a number of or all of the candidates that are shown in your search results or select by page.
The further buttons will only become available if you select the check-box next to a candidate's name.
In the example below you can see that now a candidate has been selected, the further buttons are now a darker purple:
- Contact
If selected will present you with a pop-up allowing you to email the candidate. - Invite or Apply
If selected will present you with a pop-up showing a list of jobs that you can apply a candidate to or invite the candidate to apply for.
- Apply
If selected, the candidate will be aligned to the job as a new application. The candidate will be sent a notification and they can choose whether to apply or ask you to remove their details. - Invite
If selected, the candidate will receive an email asking them if they would like to apply for the job. If they do, their application will appear as normal against the job.
- Apply
- Email CV/ Questionnaire
Allows you to email the candidate's CV to a colleague and allows you to attach a questionnaire if applicable.
- Download CSV
If selected, this will download the candidates' name, username and basic details such as telephone number listed on the current page.
👤Candidate View
Selecting the check-box next to the candidate name allows you to view a snapshot of information about them and if needed carry out certain actions.
The navigation below is based on the above example of Amelia Gabbon, from left to right.
- Candidate name
- If selected, you will navigate to the candidate profile.
- The E icon
- This icon shows that the candidate is External (if it was 'I' - they would be Internal).
- Retail Assistant
- This shows the candidate's current job.
- Stars
- If selected, allow the green buttons to become available.
- The icons below the stars
- Allow you to carry out various actions such as contact, invite or apply, tag or further options to email CV/questionnaire, download candidate CV or download Tribepad CV.
💾 How To Save A Talent Search
Using the save search feature allows you to save all of the filtered selections that you have made to refine the candidate pool.
If you save a search you will always be able to go back and review that same search.
To get started either use the filters and/or the candidate search box to retrieve the candidates' that you most want to see (1).
Once you have your list of candidates select any that you would like to add to this “pool” by ticking the check boxes (2) followed by clicking on “save search” (3).
You will now be presented with a small pop-up requiring you to name your search (talent pool) - to do this simply type the name you would like to call this pool (1) followed by clicking on “save search” to complete the process (2).
➡️ How To View A Saved Search
If you need to review candidates in your saved search select the drop-down menu next to the “Save search” button (1).
You will be presented with a list of the available saved searches (2). To view the required one, click on the required name.
You will now be presented with a list of any candidates' that meet your saved search criteria.
In the example below the pool of candidates' reflected those that referenced Fashion in their profile.
🔖 Using Tags In The ATS
Tags help categorise candidates based on skills, qualifications, or other relevant attributes - making future talent searches quicker and more efficient.
Examples Of Words You May Use As Tags:
CIPD, Graduate Fair, Media, Sales
Tags are created and managed by your organisation through the Tribepad Manage tool.
Each organisation chooses the types of tags that are most useful and adds them to the relevant section in the manage tool. Once added, these tags become available for use within the ATS.
➡️ You Can Add Tags To Candidate Profiles Via Either:
- Candidate Profile
- Talent Search
➡️There Are Two Types of Tags:
- Public Tags:
- Visible to all users with appropriate permissions
- Displayed as grey icons
- These are added to the ATS via the Manage tool
- Private Tags:
- Visible only to the user who created them
- Displayed as amber icons
- These can be added via the ATS
✅ How To Add Tags From The Candidate Profile
Start by opening the candidate's profile from the job view. Followed by clicking on the actions menu (downward facing arrow) (1) and then “Tags” (2).
You will also see any previously added Tags underneath the Candidates name (3).
A pop-up window will now be visible where you can start creating, adding, removing or searching for your tags:
In the pop-up window:
- Create a New Tag (1):
- Enter a tag name and click + Create (Private tags only).
- Enter a tag name and click + Create (Private tags only).
- Assign Tags (2):
- Check the box next to the tag(s) on the left.
- Use the search bar to filter tags if needed (3).
- Check the box next to the tag(s) on the left.
- Review/Remove Tags (4):
- The right side shows all assigned tags. Uncheck to remove.
- The right side shows all assigned tags. Uncheck to remove.
Once you are happy with your Tags, click Save and Close. Your tags will now appear on the candidate's profile and in the Quick Actions menu.
✅ How To Add Tags From Talent Search
Select one or more candidates from the Talent Search list using the checkbox next to their names (1) followed by either the “Tag” option (2) or the Tag Icon (3).
A pop-up window will now be visible where you can start creating, adding, removing or searching for your tags as described above in the Candidate Profile process:

To add new Public tags (grey icons) for team-wide use:
