✏️ Introduction

There may be occasions when a candidate want to withdraw from the application process. This could be for a number of reasons, such as; they may have applied for the role in error, or they simply no longer wish to be considered for the role. Whatever the reason, we are able to withdraw candidates.

There are 2 ways in which we can withdraw a candidate:

  • We can do this for them as a Superuser or Hiring Manager
  • The candidate can withdraw themselves but only during the application process.

❌ How To Withdraw A Candidate

➡️ Withdraw as a Hiring Manager or SuperUser

It’s important that we only withdraw a candidate if they have asked us to do so. This could be that they have applied by accident or no longer wish their details to be on this role.

To get started, whilst on a job, select the check box for the relevant candidate (1), followed by the options menu (2), and “Withdraw Candidate” (3):

Once you have selected “Mark As Withdrawn” a pop-up box will appear. Within this pop-up you have the option to withdraw the candidate and send them an email to confirm or to simply withdraw them:

You must select the reason why you are withdrawing the candidate, before completing the process.

The "from" dropdown, will always populate your email address and any recruitment based emails. However, the default will always show as yours.

You can also choose an email template that has been created to make it easier for the team. This is so that you do not have to type out email content every single time.

Once you have completed any of the relevant options above, click on one of the two options to complete the process:

➡️ Withdraw as a Candidate

The only way for a Candidate to Withdraw themselves is to do this via the “Profile Builder" page during the application process:

Whilst on the “Profile Builder” page, simply scroll down to the very bottom of the page, where you will see a button that says “Withdraw Application”:

Once you have clicked on “Withdraw Application” a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm that you would like to withdraw your application, if you would still like to go ahead then simply click on “Confirm Withdrawal”:

Once this has been pressed the candidate will be directed back to their dashboard and the role will be marked as withdrawn:
