🍀Overview
Our Evergreen feature allows you to create and publish a job that never expires.
This is great if you are always recruiting for a particular role for example Call Centre Agents or Production Operatives or for those roles that potentially have a high turn over.
Once the job is published from a specific date it will always appear as available when a candidate searches for that type of role.
Evergreen jobs are incorporated as part of the job creation process.
At the end of the first page of the job create process, you will see a section called “Job Dates” allowing you to add your job open and expiry dates.
In the image below you can see a checkbox next to the text “Evergreen job (it will not expire)”. To use this function simply click the check box.
Once clicked the expiry date option will disappear as it is no longer required.
You can now continue with the job creation process as normal. For full guidance on Job Creation 🖱️click here.
🚫 Evergreen Jobs and Unpublished Status - What It Means
If a candidate finds and applies for an unpublished job that is set as evergreen, it’s important to understand what “unpublished” actually does.
- Unpublished simply removes the job from appearing on job boards and public listings.
- It does not stop candidates from applying if they already have the job’s direct link or access through other means.
For jobs set as evergreen, this means applications can still come in even after the job has been unpublished.
If you want to stop receiving applications, you have two options:
- Close the job – this fully stops applications.
- Change the job’s expiry date to a past date – this also prevents new applications.
By knowing the difference, you can control whether applications remain open or are fully closed.
