How to tag candidates

Learn how to highlight specific skills & qualifications by using tags.

🎓Feature

Tags are created and administered by each organisation using the Tribepad Manage Administration tool.

Each organisation decides what type of tags they think will be most beneficial and they are added to the relevant section within the Manage Administration tool.  Once that action has been carried out, the tags become available to select from within the ATS.

If you are interested in using tags and you can't see them, it could be that you don't have the relevant user permission or they are simply not set up.

Please speak to the main ATS lead within your organisation if you would like to know more.

Overview

Tags are a brilliant way to highlight the skills and qualifications that you have noted when reviewing a candidate's profile and or application.

By tagging candidates' you can create groups of talent pools ready for when you are recruiting for a particular role that requires specific skills.

Tags may be anything that you want them to be but with the ultimate aim of helping you to refine your talent search process and make it as efficient as possible.

Some examples of words that you might use as a tag:

  • CIPD
  • Graduate fair
  • Media
  • Sales

There are 2 types of candidate tags:

  1. Public
Available to all users (with the relevant user permissions).
Usually presented as a grey icon.
  2. Private
Only visible to the creator of the tag itself.
Usually presented as an amber icon

Tags can be assigned in 2 areas of the ATS:

  1. Via the candidate profile.

  1. Via talent search.

You can use the filters down the left-hand side of the Talent Search page to retrieve specific candidates' including those that have relevant tags assigned to their profile.  You can also save your search criteria.

Please refer to our Talent Search articles to learn more about this area of the ATS.
